925hPa 기온 분포도
● 온도의 분포를 3℃ 간격 등치선으로 나타냄
● 주변보다 따뜻한 곳은 W, 차가운 곳은 C로 표시
● 11월~ 4월까지만 사용. 5월~10월에는 850hPa 상당온위를 사용

겨울에는 925hPa의 0℃선 분석이 중요.
눈이 내리기 위해선 0℃ 이상 층(melting layer)의 두께가 600m 이하여야 한다(Weather forecasting handbook 2000, White et al. 2002, White et al. 2010). 따라서, 925hPa(기준고도 810m) 기온이 0℃보다 높다면 눈이 내릴 가능성은 희박.
925hPa은 지상과 연계된 전선분석에 활용.기온의 경도가 크고 바람이 급변하는 곳에서 전선을 찾아낼 수 있다.
850hPa 기온분포도와 마찬가지로 아침 최저 기온과 낮 최고 기온 예측에도 활용한다
